Resona Account Deletion

Resona users can request account deletion from inside the app or by contacting us by email.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open the Resona app.
2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
3. Go to Profile.
4. Choose the account deletion option.
5. Follow the on-screen reauthentication and confirmation steps.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email resonateams@gmail.com from the email address connected to your Resona account and request account deletion. We may ask for information needed to verify account ownership.

Data deleted or anonymized

• Account profile data, including email-linked account records, nickname, profile photo references, and notification tokens.
• User-created stories, empathy responses, comments, archive data, and related app records where deletion is technically and legally appropriate.
• Profile photos stored in Firebase Storage.

Data that may be retained

Some records may be retained when required for legal, security, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or moderation purposes. These records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Retention period

Account deletion requests are normally processed as soon as possible. Some backup, security, moderation, or legal records may remain for up to 90 days unless a longer period is required by law or needed for safety and abuse prevention.
